Hosting and server log files
This website is provided as a static website via GitHub Pages. The provider is GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When this website is accessed, the hosting provider may automatically process information transmitted by your browser. This may include:
- browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
The processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and error-free provision of the website. GitHub may process personal data in the United States and other countries. According to GitHub, it uses, among other safeguards, standard contractual clauses and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Inquiry by email, phone or the contact page
If you contact me by email or phone, I store and process your inquiry, including the personal data it contains, to handle your request. This website's contact page does not have a server-side form. It prepares the information you enter as an email in your browser only; the information is transmitted only when you send that email yourself through your email program.
Recipients of personal data may include technical service providers I use for email, hosting or project work. I share data with other third parties only when this is necessary to handle your inquiry, fulfill a contract or meet a legal obligation.
The processing of this data is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided that your inquiry is connected with the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on my legitimate interest in handling your inquiry (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The data is retained until you ask me to erase it, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose of storing it no longer applies. Statutory retention requirements, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected.
Processing of customer and contract data
I collect, process and use personal data only to the extent necessary to establish, define or amend a contractual relationship. This may include your name, contact details, billing information, project details, correspondence and source texts you provide. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Providing this information for an inquiry is voluntary. The information needed to prepare a quote, conclude a contract and provide the service is required; without it, I may not be able to handle your inquiry or order. Once the contract has been fully performed, the data is erased unless statutory retention periods apply.
Automated decision-making and profiling
No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR, takes place.
Fonts (locally hosted)
This website uses the fonts Libre Baskerville and Source Sans 3. The font files are served locally via this website. No connection is made to external font services such as Google Fonts.
Cookies and tracking
According to the current technical implementation, this website does not use analytics or marketing cookies and does not use tracking for advertising purposes.
