Proofreading is about getting it right: spelling, grammar, punctuation. Editing looks at the whole. Does the text work for its audience, and does it fit the brand?
I work with print artwork just as readily as with website copy, with annual reports just as readily as with marketing material. Language is language – the quality criteria stay the same.
